Course content
Practical training: 1. Introduction to first aid (basic concepts, integrated rescue system), uniform procedure for providing first aid, positioning and transport of the injured, AED 2. Unconsciousness, convulsions, resuscitation in adults and children according to the 2015 guidelines 3. Bleeding, shock, wounds 4. Craniocerebral injury, spine and spinal cord injury, chest injury, abdominal injury, bone fractures 5. Polytrauma, pressure injuries, eye injuries 6. Mass injuries, classification of wounded patients 7. Addictive substances and acute poisoning 8. Specific injuries - drowning, hanging, strangulation, damage from heat, cold, electric shock, and chemicals 9. Selected internal conditions - diabetes mellitus, chest pain, acute myocardial infarction, CMP 10. Sudden abdominal events

Learning outcomes
The course is designed to be both theoretical and practical. The content of the course focuses on gaining skills and knowledge for the practical mastery of pre-medical first aid, the organization and principles of pre-medical first aid, the principles of transporting the wounded in the field, and household and medical facilities. As well as knowledge of disaster medicine, other parts of the course include emergency care and crisis management.
The student: - explains the basic concepts and the integrated rescue system - defines unconsciousness, bleeding, shock, craniocerebral injuries, injuries of the spine, spinal cord, chest, and abdomen - is aware of resuscitation according to the 2015 guidelines - is familiar with polytraumas, mass injuries, and triage of the wounded - describes specific injuries (hanging, drowning, and damage by heat, cold, chemicals, and electricity), selected internal conditions (diabetes mellitus, chest pain, acute myocardial infarction) - is familiar with sudden abdominal events
