Seminars: 1. - 2. Reflection and self-reflection on professional practice 3. - 4. Manipulative behaviour, effective handling of manipulative behaviour using elements of assertive communication 5. - 6. Application of effective communication in nursing a non-cooperative child, anxious and depressed child, motivation in communication 7. - 8. Application of effective communication in nursing a disadvantaged child - blind child 9. - 10. Application of effective communication in nursing a disadvantaged child - deaf child, mute, mentally handicapped child 11. - 12. Application of effective communication in nursing a child patient 13. - 14. Application of effective communication in cooperation with the child's family 15. - 16. Communication with an aggressive child 17. - 18. Application of effective communication in the treatment of a dying client, transmission of bad news, verbal and non-verbal communication skills in nursing an unconscious child 19. - 20. Revision using model situations and the evaluation by means of the "Modified 360 degree feedback method"

|
To teach students the principles and skills of adequate communication, not only with children and their parents but also with colleagues.

" The student demonstrates non-verbal skills. " The student demonstrates assertive behaviour. " The student applies non-directive conversation skills. " The student analyses verbal and nonverbal manifestations of clients. " The student distinguishes the specifics of communication with children and adolescents. " The student distinguishes the specifics of communication with the handicapped, mentally handicapped, dying patients, and the bereaved.

|
Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary)
Moodle knowledge test, individual interview, demonstration of model situations with self-reflection, analysis of a communication situation from the study literature (of the student´s choice)
