The student will gain an overview of the organization of work in the workplace The student will improve his or her implementation of basic nursing care The student will find out the specifics of nursing work and learn to work with nursing documentation The student actively participates in the nursing team of the department The student will become familiar with the standards of the department and will work according to them The student will deepen nursing communication skills in patient care Based on the acquired knowledge and skills, the student will be able to elaborate a nursing history of a patient for a given department.
The student has an overview of the organization of work at the department. The student is improving his or her implementation of basic nursing interventions in the framework of basic nursing care. The student knows the specifics of nursing care in patients hospitalized in selected wards. The student can work with medical documentation used in the department. The student can actively participate in the nursing team. The student uses communication skills in patient care. The student knows the nursing standards of the department. Based on the acquired knowledge and skills, the student is able to elaborate a nursing history of a patient hospitalized on a specific ward The student knows and can use individual and group methods of health education. The student knows and, under professional supervision, carries out nursing procedures in accordance with Decree No. 391/2017 Coll. amending Decree No. 55/2011 Coll., on the activities of healthcare workers and other professional workers, as amended by Decree No. 2/2016 Coll.

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: The course-unit credit is awarded on the basis of confirmed 100% participation in practice, evaluation of the professional workplace, a written student reflection and the elaboration of a case report including a nursing plan - according to the specified nursing model. The student actively approaches the goals stated in the Logbook (overview of nursing interventions) and initiates self-reflection for personal development.
