Learning outcomes
Objectives " To introduce the student to the concept of intensive care medicine and the direction of its development, " To familiarize the student with the instrumentation of intensive care medicine and their use " To familiarize the student with the ethical aspects of intensive care " To teach the student with the psychological aspects of nursing care in intensive care medicine " Familiarize the student with communication with critically ill patients and their relatives " To teach the student with basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in critical care medicine " The student will be able to use essential complementary examinations used in intensive care, and their assessment " Familiarize the student with augmented life support (ALS) operating equipment available in the intensive care unit " To teach the student to perform cardiac defibrillation by electrical shock and pacing using chest-mounted electrodes " To teach the student to provide highly specialized nursing care to patients after cardiopulmonary resuscitation " To teach the student how to provide airway patency without equipment and under expert medical supervision and with equipment available in intensive care units " To teach the student how to monitor the functionality of the special equipment used to perform UPV and ensure its constant readiness " To teach the student to provide comprehensive, highly specialized nursing care for patients requiring UPV, including the risks and complications associated with it, and to participate in their management " To teach the student to communicate with the patient in UPV " Teach the student to explain the specifics of oxygen therapy in critical care and apply it " Teach the student to administer transfusion products and blood derivatives " To teach the student to use the diagnostic and monitoring capabilities of the various organ systems in critical care medicine, " Teach the student to recognize fundamental heart rhythm disturbances on an ECG recording " To teach the student to specify different types of nutrition, apply them to critically ill patients, recognize complications, and participate in their management " Teach the student to care for the patient before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures " Teach the student to care for patients with invasive admissions " Teach the student to perform male bladder catheterization " To teach the student to perform radial artery cannulation based on physician indication, " Teach the student to care for organ donors
