Learning outcomes
To acquaint the student with the concept of intensive medicine and the direction of its development, " To acquaint the student with the equipment of intensive care units and their use " To acquaint the student with the ethical aspects of intensive care " To teach the student with the psychological aspects of nursing care in intensive medicine " To teach the student with communication with patients in critical condition and their relatives " To teach the student with basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in intensive care medicine "The student can use the essential complementary examinations used in intensive care, and their assessment " Familiarize the student with Augmented Life Support (ALS) using the aids available in intensive care units " To teach a student to perform cardiac defibrillation and cardiac rhythm stimulation using chest electrodes "To teach the student to provide highly specialized nursing care to patients after cardiopulmonary resuscitation " To teach the student to ensure the patency of the airways without aids and under the professional supervision of a doctor, as well as with aids available at intensive care units " To teach the student to monitor the functionality of unique instrumentation for performing UPV and to ensure its constant readiness " To teach the student to provide comprehensive, highly specialized nursing care for patients requiring UPV, including the risks and complications related to it, and to participate in their resolution " To teach the student to communicate with the patient at UPV " To teach the student to explain the specifics of oxygen therapy in intensive care and to apply it " To teach the student to apply transfusion preparations and blood derivatives " To teach the student to use the possibilities of diagnosis and monitoring of individual organ systems in intensive medicine, " To teach the student to recognize primary heart rhythm disorders on an ECG recording " To teach the student to specify particular types of nutrition, to apply them to critically ill patients, to recognize complications, and to participate in their solution "To teach the student to care for the patient before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures "To teach the student to care for patients with invasive inputs " To teach a student to catheterize a man's bladder " To teach the student to perform cannulation of the radial artery based on the doctor's indication, "To teach the student how to care for an organ donor
