Course content
Concepts relating to measuring techniques in nursing Importance of measuring techniques in nursing and their benefit for clinical practice Research and measuring techniques in nursing in practice. Use of available databases for obtaining the latest information in the area of measuring techniques in nursing. Assessment of the suitability of the identified techniques for the target group.

Learning outcomes
Students will be made acquainted with the latest information in the area of measuring techniques in nursing and studies relating to this topic. At the same time, they will extend and deepen their knowledge of measuring techniques and on the ways of assessing the suitability for their use in research or transformation into practice.

Combined form: Seminar thesis (essay) on an assigned topic in the minimal range of the text of 5 A4 (formal lay-out - line spacing 1.5, leveling the block,type size - 12, Times New Roman). The essay will also contain a front-page which is usual for seminar essays and a list of sources in accordance with the quotation norm of ISO 690. The quotations in the essay will be in Harvard system. Oral testing of acquired theoretical (professional) knowledge.
