Course content
1st block Familiarization with the requirements of the course, familiarization with SLNO - excursion Block 2. Teaching in SLNO: Nursing unit, room equipment, bed, signalling, medical documentation, admission, translation, discharge. Barrier nursing care. 3.block Teaching in SLNO: Hygienic care. Handling of patients, immobilization syndrome, problems of decubitus, treatment and examination methods, care of the dead body. 4.block Classes in SLNO: Dressing Techniques. Catering. 5.block Teaching in SLNO: Physiological Functions. Simulation teaching. Block 6 Teaching in SLNO: Stool emptying, enema, ostomy care. Aids for the incontinent. Urinary emptying, bladder catheterization. Incontinence aids. 7.block Teaching in SLNO: Medication Administration. Block 8. Teaching in SLNO: Administration of injections. Repetition

Learning outcomes
The student will acquire knowledge and skills in the area of saturating the basic needs of the client/patient. The student will acquire the knowledge and skills to perform practical procedures with a patient-centered approach. The student will acquire the theoretical knowledge to perform dependent and independent nursing activities. The student/nurse will learn practical implementation of "holistic care" for the individual, understanding the importance of meeting the individual's need for comfort, respect, security and safety. The student/nurse will gain manual dexterity to perform individual nursing interventions. The student/thesis will understand the consequences of unprofessional interventions in the delivery of individual nursing care. The student/thesis will learn to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions. The student will learn to perform interventions in the area of dependent nursing activities i.e. diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The student will gain practical experience in simulation teaching.
The student has the knowledge and skills to perform practical procedures with patient orientation. The student has the theoretical knowledge to perform dependent and independent activities of the nurse. The student performs nursing interventions according to the principles of barrier nursing. The student uses an ethical approach to perform practical nursing interventions. The student is able to collaborate with the client/patient when performing nursing interventions. The student has mastered the knowledge and skills of saturating the basic needs of the client/patient. The student is able to practice "holistic care" of the individual, understanding the importance of meeting the individual's need for comfort, respect, security and safety. The student/nurse practices the nursing process method of providing nursing care. The student knows standard nursing procedures and follows them in practice. The student demonstrates manual dexterity to perform each nursing procedure. The student recognizes the consequences of unprofessional interventions in the delivery of individual care and is able to prevent errors in nursing care. The student/nurse demonstrates skills from simulation instruction.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Test

The course consists of E-learning (POPS1_2022_ZS) + practical exercises. The condition for the award of the credit is the fulfillment of 90% attendance at the exercises (one absence is possible) and 100% completion of the assignments on Moodle. In addition, for the award of credit, it is necessary to write 5 continuous tests on Moodle at 75%. If the interim tests are completed, the pass rate for the major credit test will be set at the 75% threshold. If the requirement of writing at least 5 continuous tests at 75% is not met, the pass rate for the major credit test will be set at 80%. There will be 3 dates for writing the credit test and it is up to each student to decide how many opportunities to use.
