The course focuses on the acquisition of basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for the independent provision of first aid. The aim is to master the procedures to control disorders of vital functions; namely unconsciousness, severe bleeding, respiratory and cardiac distress, respiratory and circulatory arrest, and first aid in these situations.
Students will gain theoretical (and partly practical) experience with pre-hospital first aid. The seminars present specific first aid procedures associated with poisoning and injuries that may occur in environments where food is processed.
