Lectures (2 lessons): 1. Principles of internal security in the Czech Republic. 2. Legislation and basic terms. 3. ? 4. Police of the Czech Republic, its composition and tasks. 5. Tasks of other security forces of the Czech Republic (Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, Judicial Guard, Prison Service, Military Police). 6. Security and intelligence services of the Czech Republic (NBÚ, BIS, ÚZSI, Military Intelligence). 7. System and objectives of internal security and public order. 8. Violation of lawfulness on a large scale. 9. Migration and asylum policy. 10. Security protection of persons and objects. 11. Protection of places with a large concentration of people and so-called "soft targets". 12. Public Guard (Forest Guard, Nature Protection Guard, Fishing Guard, Hunting Guard, Water Guard, ČIŽP). 13. Security forces participating in the internal security of the Czech Republic, Police of the Czech Republic. 14. Repetition Seminars (2 lessons): 1. Security policy and security strategy of the Czech Republic. 2. Security system of the Czech Republic. 3. The European Union and internal security in the EU. 4. Principles of internal security in the Czech Republic. 5. Security forces participating in the internal security of the Czech Republic. 6. ? 7. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to provide comprehensive information about the nature and main directions of the internal security system and principles. The main emphasis is placed on fulfilling the tasks of individual subjects in the protection of social interests; knowledge of the functions and content of police and security authorities, both state and non-state, their mutual links and external relations; on the regulative significance of legal norms and on the analysis of individual types of criminalistic and security activities, proper security activities, characteristics of the basic elements and methods of documenting the security situation and information systems important for the internal security of the Czech Republic.
The student will acquire a basic orientation in issues related to internal security and public order. The student will have basic knowledge of the security and intelligence services of the Czech Republic. The student will have information regarding the current situation in migration and asylum policy.

A condition for granting credit is a seminar work; the exam will take place in the form of a written test on the content of the lectures and seminars. Student requirements: Participation in seminars, seminar paper - power-point presentation.
