Lectures II (2 lessons): 1. Security policy as a concept 2. United Nations Security Policy 3. Security policy of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization 4. Common foreign and security policy of the EU 5. Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe 6. Security policy of the Czech Republic 7. Risk analysis in the security environment 8. Risk analysis methods 9. State administration bodies in the field of security 10. Authorities of territorial self-government in the field of security 11. Anchoring of the integrated rescue system 12. IZS in the context of the UN 13. IZS in the context of NATO 14. Information and communication systems created for the security of the Czech Republic Seminars II (1 lesson): 1. Internal and external level of state security 2. Application of the concept of collective security in security practice 3. International law and military interventions 4. The EU and the resolution of international conflicts 5. Security policy of the OSCE 6. CR and national security audit 7. Performing a risk analysis on security threats 8. Performing risk analysis on crisis situations 9. Examples of the application of science, research and technology for the security area 10. Security environment of the Czech Republic 11. Legislative environment of IZS in the security system 12. Examples of the UN's action in the issue of solving non-military crisis situations 13. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the fundamental changes in this issue that occurred after the end of the bipolar world and the entry of the Czech Republic into NATO and the EU. Emphasize changes in the national, international and human concept of security. Bring closer the principles and measures of the security policy of a democratic state and the importance of public administration in its implementation. To orient students in the issue of crisis management from the point of view of its use by the state administration.
After successful completion of the course, students will be able to perform security analysis and evaluate security threats at the international, national, regional and municipal levels. Students will be able to navigate the state's security system, recognize connections and relationships between individual components, and interpret and apply the acquired knowledge.
