Course content
1. Definition zootherapy and terminology. The umbrella organization zootherapy. Legislation. 2. Methods and forms of animal assisted therapy. Video. Photographs. Annual reports. 3. Practicing of zootherapy - general terms, conditions, rules. 4. Terminology caninetherapy. Caninetherapy process. Conditions for practicing. Video. 5. Preparation and training of animal assisted therapy animal assisted therapy teams for practice. 6. Zootherapy of children, adults, seniors - conditions, rules, contraindications. Examples. 7. Practical demonstration of animal assisted therapy. 8. Hipporehabilitation - hippotherapy, activities with the use of horses. Video. 9. Hipporehabilitation - therapy using horses through psychological means, parajezdectví. 10. Other types zootherapy - lamatherapye, delfinotherapy, ornitotherapy. 11. Therapy and activities with the help of small animals. 12. Felinotherapy - importance, role and conditions of practice. 13. Methods and forms felinotherapy, evaluation felinoterapy. 14. Farmingtherapy - conditions, rules and examples.

Learning outcomes
The aim fo this subject is: - to familiarize students with basic terminology in the field of animal assisted therapy, methods and forms of animal assisted therapy for children, adults and seniors; - to familiarize students with the conditions and rules of practicing zootherapy including and contraindication to its use; - to familiarize students with the process of documentation and evaluation zootherapeutic process.
1. The student knows the terminology in the field of animal assisted therapy and can explain the difference between therapy and animal assisted activity. 2. The student knows the specific methods, forms and concrete examples zootherapy including the manner of its use in children, adults and seniors. 3. The student has mastered the basic conditions for practicing zootherapy including management of documentation and evaluation. 4. The student is familiar with the basics zooterapeutického process and the roles of each participant. 5. The student knows the benefits of animal assisted therapy and contraindications for its practice in health and social areas.
Prerequisites
There are no specific requirements for this course. It is necessary to study recommended literature and discuss selected topics during lectures and seminars.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview, Seminar work

The course is completed credit. Terms of credit: 1. active participation in seminars and work; 2. processing and presentation of a seminar paper on the assigned topic.
