Course content
Lectures: 1. The family as a social system 2. Concept of social functioning in social work with family 3 to 4 Selected theoretical approaches applied to the methods of social work with families 5. Social work with family in the context of family law 6. Social work with family - early care 7 to 8. Social work with the family - according to family functioning 9 to 10 Social work with family - specific needs 11. Social work with family - intergenerational cooperation 12. Social work with family - the context of poverty risk 13. Social work with the family - a multidisciplinary team 14. Social work with family - community care Seminar 1. Family in Czech and wider European society. 2. - 3. Interaction between the client and the environment - discussion. 4. - 5. Comparison of social work with families according to the individual states. 6. Socio-economic situation of the family. 7. - 8. Social work with families in the context of early care - look at the issue from the perspective of social services, social policy, social security law. 9. - 10.Socio-problematic phenomena in families and solutions from the perspective of multidisciplinary team. 11. Intergenerational continuity of a family, looking at the issue from the point of view of social services, social policy, social security law. 12. Ethnic minorities in the context of Czech society perspective on the issue in terms of social services, social policy, social security law. 13. Aspects of coexistence multigenerational family. 14. Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
The aim is to anchor social work with the family to a broader concept so that students gain knowledge and skills that result in the competence of professional work as social workers with family, reflect generational perspective, the issue of organizations that provide support to families and not just in this country but also within the EU.
Students will gain: - Theoretical assumptions about the professional assessment of the social situation of the family - Practical skills leading to the implementation of methods of social work in the family system

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Test, Self-reflection

Active participation in seminars, self-study recommended domestic and foreign literature, drawing partial assignments during the semester. Credit - test with a success rate of 80% - 1 and 2 proper repair options Oral exam - 1 and 2 if proper remedies within the listed dates
