Course content
Lectures: 1. Typology of non-profit sector organisations. 2. Non-profit organisation legal minimum - ways of establishment and end of a NGO. 3. Non-profit sector and state administration and autonomy - possibilities of cooperation. State subsidies policy. 4. Strategic planning in a non-profit organisation. 5. Financial control of a non-profit organisation. Fundraising in a non-profit organisation. 6. Project management and role in the activities of NGO projects. Methods of monitoring and assessment of a non-profit organisation activity. 7. Work with public, work with media (PR). Personnel Management and Human Resource Management. Working with volunteers. Seminars: 1.-3. Excursion to a non-profit organization.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
1. Familiarize the students with issues of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic. 2. Teach the students the fundamentals of project writing, creation of presentations, strategic planning.
1. The student orientates in basic documents, regulations and activities of non-profit sphere in the Czech Republic. 2. The student understands the values and objectives of non-profit organisations (NGO) operating in the health and social area. 3. The student individually studies professional literature and materials, orientates in information sources of NGO. 4. The student is able to prepare a project for establishment of a non-profit organisation.
Prerequisites
Here is assumed the knowledge of basic information on the health and social area, work with an internet, literature.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar work

Elaboration of seminary work, debate related to the seminary work within a credit.
