Course content
Lectures 1. - 2. Basic concepts, paradigms in social work, case management, types. 3.-4. Definition of case management - history, principles and meaning, principles. 5. - 6. Case management in different areas of provision (NGO, municipality) and in relation to target group. 7. - 8. Case management phases, conditions for case management 9. - 10. Case management and its anchoring in a client-oriented approach. 11. - 12. Systemic approach and case management social work. 13. - 14. Case management in a task-oriented approach. Seminars 1.-2. The importance of communication with the client in case management. Motivational talks in practice. 3.-4. Relationship between communication and social worker - client relationship. Relationship Borders. 5.-6. Anamnestic interview, setting a contract in case social work. Training techniques. 7.-8. Social worker attitudes and his role in case of management. Discussing various cases and self-reflection of a social worker. 9.-12. Specific methods and techniques embedded in humanistic theories - a client-oriented approach and their use in case management. Practicing techniques and solving model situations or selected case studies. 13. - 16. Specific methods and techniques in systemic theories and their use in case management. Practicing techniques and solving model situations or selected case studies. 17. - 20. Task-oriented approach and its use in case management. Practicing techniques and solving model situations or selected case studies. 21. - 22. Coaching and its use in case management. Practicing techniques and solving model situations or selected case studies. 23. - 24. Case management for selected types of clients - eg victims of violence, clients with a certain type of dependence, victims without shelter, etc. Solution of selected case reports and model situations. 25. - 26. Case management for selected types of clients - eg clients with disabilities, seniors, youth at risk, etc. Solution of selected case reports and model situations. 27. - 28. Work evaluation. Model situations.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on understanding the different frameworks of case management in social work on the one hand and their influence on the use of specific methods and techniques in relation to the client on the other. It is an understanding of the relationship between the case and the social worker and what methods and techniques they choose. Working with a variety of model cases within seminars allows practicing specific methods and techniques and embedding them in theoretical concepts.
After completing the course, the student is well versed in the issue of case management, knows the principles, types and principles and its application in various areas of implementation. The student knows and can use specific methods and techniques embedded in theoretical concepts. The student is aware of the importance of the client-social worker relationship, is able to solve the submitted cases and justifies his solution.

Active participation of students in lectures and seminars (obligatory percentage of participation in seminars is set by the teacher at the beginning of the semester). Course completion - fulfillment of requirements for credit and oral exam
