Course content
Lectures 1-2. Narrative approaches: life story, narrative interview, biographic-narrative interview, practical examples 3-4. Ethnographic, field research: definition, strategy of the sample formation, methods and techniques of data collection, practical examples. 5-6. Phenomenologic research: Definition, strategies of the sample formation, methods and techniques of data collection, practical examples. Phenomenologic interpretations. 7-8. Analysis of documents: methods and techniques of data collection, practical examples. Data processing. 9-10. Observation and its principles. Record sheet formation, research diary and its use. 14. Qualitative experiment: definition, strategy of the sample formation, methods and techniques of data collection, practical examples. Seminars 1-2. Practical implementation of narrative and biographic-narrative interviews 3-9. Practical implementation of an ethnographic field research, Reflection 10-12. Practical implementation the analysis of various kinds of documents. Coding of pictures 12-14. Practical implementation of observation. Reflection.

Learning outcomes
The goal of the subject is to acquire the capability of collecting and evaluating the qualitative research data at the analysis level needed for the thesis.
Students will aquire the knowledge of processing qualitative data using narrative, ethnographic and phenomemologic approaches, within the document analysis and observation, and the basic knowledge of qualitative experiments.
