The course focuses on the issue of social determinants of health as a comprehensive view of health inequalities, which are an alarming reflection of the dysfunctionality of state care, service, and support systems (and in particular the lack of interdisciplinary cooperation). The concept of quality of life represents a parallel view of interprofessional and transdisciplinary solutions to selected issues in social work, and its application is suitable for a holistic solution to health inequalities - as the intersection of both theories. Graduates will be able to apply both selected theoretical concepts as a basis for research focused on selected areas of social determinants of health and domains of quality of life.
