Course content
Seminars: 1. Social work with people suffering from mental disease - group social work, group therapy, social work with groups. Individual, group and community social work with mental diseases. 2. Role of social worker in the care of people with mental diseases. 3. Legal acts and agenda of social work. 4. Ethic in social work with clients with mental diseases. 5. Social work and communication with children suffering from psychiatric disease. 6. Social work and communication with mental diseases. 7. Social work and communication with clients suffering from psychosis. 8. Social work and communication with addicted clients (alcohol and nonalcohol addiction). 9. Social work and communication with clients suffering from mental diseases. 10.Social work and communication with clients suffering from syndrome dementia. 11.Social work and communication with clients from dissocial personal disorder, ham disorder, affective unstable disorder and borderline disorder. 12.Social work and communication with clients from neurosis. 13.Social work and communication with clients from affective disorders. 14.Problem of involuntary hospitalisation and problems of eligibility to legal act guardianship.

Learning outcomes
The goals of the subject is - to inform student of social work with people suffering from psychiatric diseases - to inform student of the role, the contents and agenda of social work, of the legal norms, of ethic in social work, of issues of involuntary hospitalisation, of eligibility to legal act - to train communication with clients with different mental diseases. During the seminar, the individual theoretical chapters will be analysed and discussed and will trained communication with clients with mental diseases.
Students get basics in communication with people suffering from mental disease. Students get basic orientation in offer, possibilities of social solution of situation of clients with psychiatric disease.

There are no prerequisites set.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Interview, Test, Seminar work

The course is finished with a credit course. To get a credit students are required: - to show active participation and active work during the seminar; - to write and present assigned seminar work; - to pass colloquium, when the group of students is bigger than fifteen it will be necessary to successfully pass a written test.
