Key learning outcomes The objectives of the study programme Fisheries and Water Conservation can be summarised in the following points: 1) To link the inseparable issues of sustainable use of water for the production of quality fish raw material and for other human needs and the actual protection of water for future generations, for the preservation of biodiversity and life. 2) To produce professionals capable of wider application at senior management levels not only in the fisheries sector, but also in those industries where water is used as a necessary raw material or technological element, as well as in institutions responsible for implementing, complying with and improving legislation on water and environmental protection. 3) To ensure the rapid transfer of knowledge from the extensive scientific and other creative activities of the faculty's staff into practice through the training of future professionals who will be aware of the need to protect water when using it and, on the other hand, professionals from the executive and supervisory bodies of water and environmental protection who who understand the links between land use and its impacts on water quality and are able to make objective decisions and recommendations.
