Key learning outcomes The graduates in the study program Italian Language will master Italian language at the minimal level of C1 and they will be able to perform tasks of philological work concerning current language. Within the literary disciplines, they will acquire knowledge of the literary history and basic knowledge of literary science. They will also acquire, through the subjects focused on administration and law, the knowledge of professional language competencies concerning the domain of applied linguistics as well as basic professional knowledge of law. This will enable graduates to communicate in Italian at the appropriate level in the domain of business and law.
Specific admission requirements The applicants will be accepted either on the basis of their secondary school performance or a combination of secondary school performance and an interview.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples A graduate of Italian language will be familiar with the basics of linguistic research methodology, will acquire a systemic approach to using and exploring contemporary language and will become familiar with the possibilities of applying the results of linguistic research in practice. They learn critical information and work effectively with modern information tools (they can learn about electronic text in various language environments, working with text corpora, electronic dictionaries, public information databases, etc.). Such a broader base of language and socio-scientific studies will allow graduates to increase their communicativeness and flexibility, the factors necessary for further education as well as for future employers.
