Key learning outcomes 1) Student will obtain pedagogical and psychological background and will acquire methodical procedures for qualified and competent work in the field of education, out-of-school training of youth, work in nature conservation and environmental education and eventually work as the teacher assistant. 2) Student will acquire essential knowledge and skills in geology, diversity of organisms (biology of plants, animals; ecology) and in plant cultivation with accent on practical application of knowledge and skills which are necessary in education and training. 3) Student will be equipped with skills for the use of the basic laboratory instruments and equipment at the microscopic and wet laboratory and use of the measuring instruments for data collection in the terrain.
Specific admission requirements The applicants will be accepted either on the basis of their secondary school performance or a combination of secondary school performance and an interview.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates will achieve professional standards qualifying them to work in non-formal biology and environmental education, including a teacher´s assistant position at primary schools. Namely, the graduate is qualified to work in after school care, non-formal educational clubs with environmental focus or, under supervision, as a teacher's assistant inclass preparation, laboratory works, fieldtrips, school-based amateur hobbies, or pupils´ individual tutoring.
