Key learning outcomes The master brach of study "Agricultural Biotechnology" is a direct continuation of the bachelor's branch of study "Agricultural Biotechnology" implemented at ZF JU, with the study plan of which it is harmonized. Graduates of Agricultural Biotechnology will be prepared to work with biotechnological techniques and their application especially in the field of genetics, livestock and plant breeding, phytosanitary, animal cloning, molecular biology, microbiology, health and environmental assessment, biodiversity and gene resource protection, etc. Experience shows that they are used in experimental work in research institutions, both public and commercial, but also in health care or in state control bodies. In developed countries, the need for highly qualified biotechnology professionals has been reflected for many years.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Graduates are able to apply the acquired knowledge in the field of genetics, genomics, molecular biology, breeding, plant and animal biotechnology. The graduate not only has deep theoretical knowledge but also corresponds to practical laboratory habits, is able to control instrumentation and manages the procedures used in molecular and microbiological laboratories and biotechnological operations. The graduate is also equipped in terms of language, masters biostatistical and bioinformatics methods and is familiar with information sources.
