Key learning outcomes The follow-up Master's degree in the field of Quality of Agricultural Products in the program of Agricultural Engineering deepens in the topic of quality and technology of processing plant and animal products, develops food microbiology, bio-production, food safety, human dietetics and innovative processes in the manufacturing industry. The Master's degree is a two-year course, followed by a bachelor degree program (e.g. Agriculture, Animal Breeding, Agroecology and others) taught at the Faculty of Agriculture of the USB. It is conceived as open and therefore an entry instruction block is prepared for other candidates, where the basic processing technologies forming the basis for this further master's study will be processed and instructed in a comprehensive form. Graduates of similar fields of study from other universities may also enroll. A graduate of this field of study is an agricultural engineer who has a broader theoretical background and practical knowledge, he/she is prepared for management and decision-making activities at medium and higher levels. The graduate can be involved in processing and food businesses as well as in state administration. At senior management level, the graduate will be involved in the processing and assessment of food quality, including the grocery store and food raw materials. He/she can also assert in the control and advisory sphere. The graduate will acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of processing agricultural products of plant and animal origin, will be able to implement and control the operation of quality management systems, including the HACCP system in the processing of agricultural commodities. He/she will be equipped with the necessary knowledge in the interconnected circuits of the qualification unit, appropriate to the needs and objectives of the application: 1. Plant products, their use and processing. 2. Animal products, their use and processing 3. Legislation: knowledge of EU and Czech legal regulations concerning quality and hygiene of processing of agricultural products and commodity regulations in the agricultural production. Graduates of the follow-up Master's degree in Quality of Agricultural Products may continue their studies at the Agricultural Faculty in accredited doctoral study programs.
