Key learning outcomes This study programme provides students with deep understanding of the general principles of information systems (i.e. their contents, development methodologies and underlying technology) and their application that involves specific IT products and also industry sectors. The study programme includes subjects such as system analysis and design, programming, databases, information technologies, enterprise information systems, internet and mobile systems, systems of strategic management and other. In addition to knowledge and skills in informatics, the current global job market demands expertise in the areas of management, organization, economics, commerce and law. Therefore the study programme includes also subjects such as micro and macro economics, finance, accounting, sales, marketing and management subjects. Big attention is paid to study of English language. Students have the option to study one semester at a partner university abroad. Combined study of economic and informatics allows the graduates to cope with the needs of business companies in various economic sectors. Graduates are good equipped to work on various primarily IT positions in both the private and public sectors and in the educational system.
