Key learning outcomes
|
The aim of the field is to prepare skilled and educated professional teachers of civics at elementary schools. The qualification of students is based mainly in didactics, philosophy, economics, sociology, political science, media studies, law, history, ethics and multiculturalism. The curriculum of the field concentrates mainly at educating competent and in social sciences well informed teachers of civics and social sciences, teachers that will be able to reflect on contemporary social, cultural and technological trends.

Recognition of subjects, examinations, parts of study or other study obligations is subjected to Study and Examination Code of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice as of 22nd May 2017, Article 25.

Qualification requirements and regulations
|
Successful passing of an entrance examination is conditioned by deep knowledge of the history of philosophy, logic, religious studies, law, sociology, politic.science, economics and orientation in current Czech/world socio-political and cultural events.

|
Graduates become qualified teachers of social sciences at high schools and civic education at secondary schools. They can also use acquired knowledge and abilities on many positions in public and private sphere - e.g. in public administration, non-profit organizations, media etc.
