Key learning outcomes
|
The doctoral program is intended to provide a graduate with clearly defined academic orientation corresponding with every theoretical, methodological and content-related requirement for the modern-day history studies. It consists of three consecutive levels. Methodological and heuristic level helps a doctoral student to deepen and substantially widen their comprehension of methodology and methods of historical studies, along with the knowledge of historiography and philosophy of history gained during their previous Master studies. The graduate must also show proper command of foreign languages along with ability to form heuristic foundations of their dissertation. The stage of critical and interpretation studies helps doctoral students to develop a comprehensive grasp of heuristics and also to deepen their research methodically. They would also be able to publish some important results of their research in the form of lesser scholarly papers and contributions. At the final stage of study every doctoral student will interpret and explicate new findings made while exploring a chosen subject and to base their doctoral thesis on them. This dissertation must show every feature of an original academic monograph containing some 300 standard pages of text.
