Key learning outcomes The study programme aims to prepare students for their future work as academic or scientific researchers in the field of economics and management and for managerial activities in private or public sector organisations. Students will learn contemporary theoretical approaches in the field of economics and management, quantitative and qualitative methods of business research in order to be able to analyse, evaluate and design systems related to the management of enterprises and institutions in relation to contemporary trends affecting the environment of organizations, such as Industry 4.0, process management, digitalization, innovative entrepreneurship, globalization, etc. Students will be able to comprehensively address the issue of multi-criteria impact of external and internal environment on the management of enterprises and institutions in terms of causality of economic phenomena and processes with a focus on resource allocation in relation to the development of the global and regional economy, principles of sustainability and a systems approach to the management of organizations. Students will gain advanced knowledge in the use of mathematical and statistical methods, the creation of economic models and stochastic decision-making methods, so that they are able to evaluate the potential of organizations and set up a system of monitoring and evaluation of key performance indicators.
