Key learning outcomes The study programme aims at providing students with a complex education in agriculture, agricultural machinery, food processing technologies with an emphasis on the application of modern methods from computer science, cybernetics and production technologies. Further development and training in critical thinking are emphasized as well as the ability to analyse independently complex information, to carry out experimental and theoretical work and to interpret and publish the obtained results. The graduate of the study programme has the competencies to carry out a scientific research and project activity in its administrative, professional and financial aspects.

Qualification requirements and regulations A graduate of a master's study programme in agriculture or technical fields, a good knowledge of English, an ability to formulate research questions, the ability to work independently and a relevant doctoral dissertation topic.

Their further employment opportunities are in the field of primary production, agricultural consulting and similar specialized services, in professional and hobby organizations with their scope of activity in agricultural machinery and technologies etc. Typical jobs for the graduate: - academic staff of a higher education institution - scientific research worker at a research institute or a higher education institution - a developer in a business dealing with development in the field of precision agriculture, agricultural and food processing machinery and technologies etc. - technology tester (autonomous machines in plant production, milking robots in animal production, etc.) - a worker in the production of agricultural and food processing machines
