Key learning outcomes During the study, students will first learn the basics of major biological disciplines (botany and zoology, basics of ecology, genetics). In addition, the field includes several issues. The protection of nature itself is crucial, especially at the species level. It is closely related to the breeding of pets and the cultivation of collection plants (whether in zoological or botanical gardens or hobby or commercial breeding) and international trade in them. Here we pay particular attention to the issue of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, known by the acronym CITES. An integral part of the study are subjects that increase the overall qualification of students and bring them generally useful skills, such as the ability to understand professional text, ability to search and critically evaluate information, knowledge of successful presentation of not only professional information, group cooperation, communication, etc. emphasis is placed on the language skills of graduates.
