Key learning outcomes
|
The Bachelor?s degree programme Geography with a Focus on Education for Secondary Schools is designed to provide students with both a sufficiently broad theoretical foundation and an appropriate level of complementary practical, pedagogical, and psychological knowledge and skills necessary for successful work in the educational sector, with a particular focus on teaching geography. The programme is carefully and responsibly structured to reflect the requirements of contemporary geography, with a strong emphasis on understanding processes, interrelationships, and developmental trends. The Bachelor?s programme in Geography with a focus on education is built on core subjects such as physical and human geography, cartography, GIS, and regional geography, and also encompasses environmental studies. Graduates are primarily prepared for entry into a follow-up Master?s degree programme in Geography Teacher Education for Secondary Schools.
