Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to recapitulate and expand knowledge related to the design of complex landscaping. At the same time, this course aims to incorporate into teaching new knowledge of research conducted by the department and other research institutes (especially VÚMOP Prague, CULS Prague and VUT Brno). The aim of the course is to provide and at the same time connect theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of landscape planning and land consolidation both in the Czech Republic and in other countries around the world. After completing the course, students will gain the skills to synthesize individual issues in one comprehensive planning document. The course emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of research and practical activities in the field of landscape planning and land consolidation. Along with specific approaches and procedures typical for landscape planning disciplines, the course also includes improvement in the general principles of landscape assessment and planning (typology, scaling, landscape units, maps, etc., ...).
Students have a deep theoretical and practical knowledge of landscape processes. The knowledge relates to the latest developments in the field of landscape and land management and serves as a basis for original thinking that enables them to participate in research. They are familiar with a wide range of landscape measures and the criteria for their selection. Students are able to apply their knowledge creatively in determining land hazards. They independently address the design of individual landscape measures and the land improvement process to a high standard. They are able to translate their knowledge into design and implementation solutions. Students are able to confront their knowledge, skills and opinions in the field of landscape planning and land development with the scientific community. This communication is particularly evident in the preparation of grant proposals and scientific publications.
Prerequisites
Students are able to work independently in the field, but they have also mastered the principles of teamwork. They are equipped with the ability to formulate and present their own opinions and communicate them in their native language and in a world language. They are able to communicate information, ideas, identify problems and propose possible solutions without problems. They are able to critically evaluate their approach to a problem; they are able to defend their professional opinion using arguments they have acquired through study and practical experience in the field.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of student's work activities (technical works)

Teaching is based on independent study of the recommended literature, which is directed in consultation with the teacher. Part of the study is the preparation of a seminar paper, which serves as a basis for the oral examination of the course. The assignment of the thesis is chosen by the teacher so that the student can use it as one of the bases for the dissertation. Consultations are carried out 3-4 times per semester on dates agreed with students. Students can also contact the teacher by e-mail, The teacher can contact the students of his/her course by mass e-mail, through the STAG student agenda system.
