Course content
Acquisition of knowledge of basic agrotechnics in the field of land management, crop rotation, tillage and weed control. Division of the territory of the Czech Republic into agricultural production areas and sub-areas. Reasons and causes of crop rotation. Claims of individual crops for inclusion in the sowing procedure. Intercrops. Compilation and evaluation of sowing procedures. Designing the number and length of sowing procedures. Special sowing procedures. Theoretical foundations of tillage. Basic tillage, subsoil, plowing, depth, time and methods of plowing. Pre-sowing soil preparation, shearing, dragging, loosening, rolling of soil and new methods of pre-sowing soil preparation. Tillage during vegetation. Simplified tillage systems - minimal, soil protection and no-till technologies. Weed control. Weed control with herbicides.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to gain knowledge of basic agricultural technology in the field of land management, crop rotation, tillage and weed control.
