Learning outcomes
The subject aims to explain to the students the organization of the environmental protection in the Czech Republic; the government structure and public administration with the accent on environmental protection. Environment and legislative in its protection in the Czech Republic with the accent on the EIA law.
Students will gain an overview of general nature and landscape protection and related legislative frameworks, get acquainted with environmental management tools, including footprint methods, life cycle assessment (LCA) and other voluntary tools for environmental impact assessment. Students will gain knowledge about environmental impact assessment from the perspective of the concept of EIA and SEA on a local, national and international scale.
Prerequisites
Basics of ecology, landscape ecology, basics of the town planning

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Combined exam, Test, Seminar work

Requirements for the student: participation in lectures, individual work, successfully passed the exam
