Course content
Environment protection organizations in CR, government, self-government. Examples of the problem buildings from a point of view the environment. The principles of land use, urbanism, work management. Basic legal rules in the environment protection; EIA law, history, examples from other states (USA, EU), the situation in CR. Methods of EIA. Environment and landscape protection: soil, water, air, forests, nature, minerals, problems with waste. The economy in the environmental protection, public participation. New trends, strategic EIA (SEA), ecological control systems (EMAS, ISO 14 000), production, integrated prevention, and pollution reduction (IPPC). Landscape and landscape character assessment, biological evaluation, Natura 2000.

Learning outcomes
The subject aims to explain to the students the organization of the environmental protection in the Czech Republic; the government structure and public administration with the accent on environmental protection. Environment and legislative in its protection in the Czech Republic with the accent on the EIA law.
Ability to process probe management in the sense of EIA process after Czech law.
Prerequisites
Basics of ecology, landscape ecology, basics of the town planning

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Combined exam, Test, Seminar work

Requirements for the student: participation in lectures, individual work, successfully passed the exam
