Course content
Concepts of waste management, hierarchy of waste management, legislative regulations, waste catalog. Methods of waste treatment - biological processes, physical-chemical processes, biological and physical-chemical processes, mechanical treatment, mechanical-biological treatment. Waste utilization - energy utilization of waste, material utilization and recycling of waste. Waste disposal.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with legal regulations on waste and to familiarize them with the possibilities of processing and using different types of waste.
Students will know the basic legislation on waste. Students will be familiar with the options of waste treatment, methods of processing and utilization of waste.
