Course content
The third semester will focus on the following topics from English File Fourth Edition Advanced: Unit 5: - topics: No time for anything, Not for profit? - grammar: distancing, unreal uses of past tenses - vocabulary: expressions with time, money Unit 6: - topics: Help, I need somebody! Can't give it up - grammar: verb + object + infinitive or gerund, conditional sentences - vocabulary: compound adjectives, phones and technology, adjectives + prepositions

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Demonstration, Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The English Language course provides students with practical language preparation necessary for further study of English. This communicatively oriented seminar aims primarily at consolidating knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and balanced development of all four basic language skills, i.e. working with text, writing, speaking and listening. Speech skills and language resources are developed from the expected entry level B2+ to level C1+ according to the CEFR.
Communicative competence. Aiming at language level C1 according to CEFR.

All examinations and consultations are held in English. Active participation. No more than two absences. The students are expected to complete the following requirements: A speaking project A written test with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension Passmark: 70%
