Learning outcomes
The course aims to make students familiar with the specific features of American literature from the beginning of the 20th century, while particular discussions are focused on the heterogeneous nature of the American cultural experience. In addition to the theoretical background provided by the lecture, the seminar reading concentrates on particular authors and their texts as well as on the links between literary development and a particular cultural and historical context.

All examinations and consultations are held in English. Active participation in the seminar, an oral and written interpretation of a selected literary work.
