Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the differences in the English and Czech grammar systems on all linguistic levels - morphological, syntactic, lexical and stylistic. The emphasis is put on the practical acquisition of the following linguistic phenomena: Finite Verb-Forms, Non-Finite Verb Forms, Tenses, Simple Form, Progressive Form, Moods, Auxiliary Verbs, Modal Verbs. The seminar focuses on practical presentation of the grammatical structures on authentic texts and real situations. Grammar is practised in a wide range of activities such as games, discussions and problem solving.
