Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the differences between the English and Czech grammar systems on all linguistic levels - morphological, syntactic, lexical and stylistic. The emphasis is put on the practical acquisition of the following linguistic phenomena: Substantives - Number, Countability, Determination, Gender, Case; Adjectives - Comparison; Adverbials Pronouns - Personal, Possessive, Reflexive, Demonstrative, Interogative, Relative, Indefinite; Relative Clauses; Numerals - Cardinal, Ordinal The seminar focuses on practical presentation of the grammatical structures on authentic texts and real-life situations. Grammar is practised in a wide range of activities such as games, discussions and problem solving.
Use grammar correctly in spoken and written form of communication.

Successful completion of English Grammar II.
