Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide a complex analisis of authentic texts from various spheres of human life. The contrastive view is applied on English and Czech and the emphasis is put on traditionaly problematic spheres of language system (aspect, FSP, word order, etc.) After introductory text analyses conducted by a teacher, students themsesves analyse authentic texts on the basis of their home preparation and take part in discussions.

knowledge of the separate linguistic subjects, practical English language skills at an advanced level
