Course content
14 weeks: 1-8: analysis and interpretation of English and American prose 9-11: analysis and interpretation of English and American poetry 12-14: analysis and interpretation of English and American drama

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The course focuses on practical analysis and interpretation of selected literary texts in English. The students will discuss the form, subject and literary context. The seminar work includes the usage of audio, which complements the textbook, and also film versions of the chosen literary work.

Prerequisites
Minimum entry level of English: Intermediate

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary)

All examinations and consultations are held in English. Active participation in the seminar, a written interpretation of a chosen text or an oral presentation
