Course content
1. Use of infinitive 2. Use of gerund 3. Expressing obligation 4. Expressing movement 5. First conditional sentence 6. Second conditional sentence 7. Expressing possibility 8. Giving advice 9. Present perfect + Past simple (revision) 10. Sentences with "used to" 11. Passive form 12. Assertive and non-assertive expressions (something, anything, nothing) 13. Quantifiers, Phrasal verbs 14. Past perfect, reported speech One article on the topic of the students' professional focus will be covered every lesson.

Learning outcomes
In practical language lessons, students will acquire the use of basic grammatical structures in conversation. The aim is that students are able to respond promptly to conversational topics from everyday life and their professional field and take this opportunity to practise the correct use of grammar contained in the recommended textbook. Emphasis is also placed on understanding scientific texts from the field of study.
Students will be able to use English language at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They will speak fluently about topics from the field of study and profession. They will understand the articles from the literature on these topics.
Prerequisites
The level of knowledge required for enrolling is Pre-Intermediate.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

All examinations and consultations are held in English. The requirements for passing this subject are active participation, one written essay and passing the final test.
