Course content
- essential principles of articulation in Czech and in English - phonetic transcription - the relationship of spelling and pronunciation - differences between Czech and English vowels, diphthongs and consonants - word-stress and reduction of weak syllables - sentence stress and essential intonation patterns in English

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), E-learning
Learning outcomes
The aim is to identify the state of pronunciation skills, to correct wrong pronunciation habits and to improve the students' pronunciation in general, with particular attention to phenomena affected by their mother tongue interference. Students should learn to improve their pronunciation independently, by imitation of native speakers.
