Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction to the study of public administration and regional development 2. Regions and regionalization 3. The relationship between the state and regional development 4. -5. Public administration for the study of regional development 6. Public administration reform 7. Financing of territorial self-governing units 8. Act on the support of regional development 9.-10. Municipalities Act 11. Regional Act 12. Strategy of regional development of the Czech Republic 13.-14. Case studies on public administration and regional development Exercises: 1. Assignment of semester work 2.-13. Excursions 14. Granting of credits Combined Studies: Depending on the schedule schedule 3-4 blocks of consultations.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Excursion

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the essence of the existence of public administration, the formation of institutional prerequisites for regional development and the role of public administration in supporting regional development.
Students will understand the relationship within the triad and will be able to coordinate their activities with municipal authorities.
Prerequisites
The course builds on the Regional Management and Regional Planning courses.

Combined exam, Seminar work

Credit requirements: Semester work (PS and KS). Participation in the excursion (PS only). Exam requirements: Combined exam.
