Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issues of regional management. Emphasis is placed on three relatively separate modules: (1) spatial assumptions and the environment of regional development, (2) approaches to regional development issues, and (3) the basics of regional management.
Students know the structures of the region, they are able to identify structures in a particular region. Furthermore, they are familiar with the complexity of approaches to regional development and are aware of the immense complexity of the problem and the lack of "simple" and "direct" solutions to regional problems. They are acquainted with the possibilities and specifics of regional management and are aware of the importance of state administration in the regional development of the Czech Republic.
