Content of lectures: 1. Specifity of DNA/RNA isolation from soil and water ecosystems 2. PCR amplification of spec. regions DNA of Bacteria and Archaea 3. Online databases (RDP, GenBank, SILVA) 4. DGGE/TGGE - fingerprinting of microbial communities 5. qPCR -quantitative PCR (absolute quantification of selected genes) 6. EEA - extracellular enzyme activities - connection with decomposition of organic matter Content of practicals 1. DNA/RNA isolation from soil and water ecosystems 2.
