Course content
Design and implementation of a small research project in tropical ecosystems.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work activities (workshops)
  • Class attendance - 240 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students will acquire methodological and practical skills, necessary for working in tropical ecosystems. This course should enable them to view ecological topics in broader and interdisciplinary manner.
Ability to design and implement a small ecological research project in tropical ecosystems.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of ecology to the extent of the Ecology basic course, ability and willingness to work in tropical rainforest environment, and good command of English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Successful presentation of the research project implemented during the course, based on 20 min talk in front of the course instructors.
