Course content
Part-time: The principles of teaching the mother tongue, composition and communication. Orthography at the primary level of basic school. Morphology, syntax, writing of i/y, description, comprehensive reading and listening, Independent study (c. 80 hours): Word and vocabulary.Word classes. Morphological subject matter. Teaching communication and composition. Communicative activities. Media education. Mother tongue in the framework educational programme and in the school educational programme.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
Students work on further selected topics and simulate teaching at primary school.
Developing the ability to make a methodological analysis of the subject matter and to use the subject matter creatively within primary school.
Prerequisites
The ability tackle tasks in morphology and word formation, syntactic and stylistic tasks.

Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Student portfolio analysis

- to make a portfolio of teaching methods and the ability of correction and evaluation, to know appropriate themes and to teach some theme during the course Tasks for independent study: Perusing the recommended literature with respect to the themes included in the subject.More detailed information and further bibliography will be given in the seminar.E-learning materials are available on the faculty website. Completion requirements: Oral exam. Individual consultations are provided in person or by e-mail.
