Existing and alternative methods of teaching reading and writing in contemporary school. 5. Laterality. 6. Reading and writing mistakes and their correction. 7. Evaluation and diagnostics in teaching reading. Independent study (c.100 hours): The importance of reading and writing skills. Children at junior primary level. School maturity.The concept of teaching reading and writing in the syllabus and curricula of basic and primary schools. Analysing the structure of reading and writing classes.The historical development of reading and writing methods. Major factors in the development of reading and writing skills.The pedagogical, psychological and physiological aspects of teaching reading and writing. Qualitative and quantitative features of script. Contemporary textbooks and teaching materials. Using audiovisual technology and computers in class.

The subjekt teaches making fading and writing skills of the elementary class pupils. It concentrates on the pedagogice and psychological aspects of teaching and on the achal Leeds and problems of metodological praxis.
To employ the theory of elemetary literacy at primary school level in practice.
Active application the ability of metodological praxis.

- working out of the five tasks for independent study - see below (each theme to cover at least four A4 pages, font size 12 pts, spacing 1.5 line); each paper will be based on at least three relevant printed sources (on prior approval internet sources can be quoted as well), quoting full references - the course will be completed by a written test Tasks for independent study: Perusing the recommended literature with respect to the themes included in the subject. More detailed information and further bibliography will be given in the seminar. E-learning materials are available on the faculty website. Completion requirements: Seminar paper and written test. Individual consultations are provided in person or by e-mail.
