Course content
Part-time: sanguage and linguistics, national language and its development Independent study (c. 50 hours): stratification of national language, norms and prescription, selected topics from present Czech (influence on English, language of politics etc.), language corectness and culture

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to give a deeper knowledge of language situation in Czech language.
Acquiring the knowledge of contemporary Czech.
Prerequisites
Basic the knowledge of contemporary Czech grammar and stylistics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Test, Seminar work

Tasks for independent study: To pass writing exam and to prepare a seminar work. E-learning materials are available on the faculty website. More detailed information and further bibliography will be given in the seminar.
