Course content
Part-time: Functional styles: colloquial (simple communication); administrative; technical; journalistic; artistic. Independent study (c. 80 hours): The aims, subject matter and methods of stylistic research. The terminology of stylistics. Stylistic agents. Stylistic areas; stylistic levels; stylistic types. Differentiation and stratification of the national language. Stylistic aspects of text construction. Genres of rhetorical communication and their norms. Primary texbooks.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subjekt is to give a theoretical knowledge of style of Czech and making some skills needed to and analysis and creating of texts with regard to the work of an elementary school teacher.
The student will demonstrate an independent approach to textual analysis and the ability to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
The ability tackle to stylistic tasks.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Seminar work

Written test Tasks for independent study: Perusing the recommended literature with respect to the themes included in the subject. More detailed information and further bibliography will be given in the seminar. Completion requirements: Completion requirements: a written test. Individual consultations are provided in person or by e-mail.
